Hip-hop artist Lil Wayne was hospitalised after suffering his third seizure in two months.
TMZ
first reported that the 33-year-old rapper spent time in an intensive
care unit after suffering the seizure shortly before a Las Vegas
performance. Wayne’s private jet had made two emergency landings last month during
a flight across the US. The artist, who has epilepsy, apparently had an
issue with medication, the Hollywood gossip rag said, and physicians
are working to find the proper balance to treat his ailments.
Doctors described Wayne’s seizure as “severe”. Nonetheless he was
released from the hospital and is currently recovering at his Miami
home.
Wayne made his solo debut 1999 with the platinum-certified album Tha
Block is Hot. Since, he produced 10 subsequent solo records.
According to his website, Lil Wayne surpassed Elvis Presley with more than 100 solo songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Wayne first joined Cash Money Records at the age of nine.
High levels of activity have been detected around North Korea’s nuclear test site, according to satellite images obtained by an independent US watchdog.
The images appear to show supplies and equipment being stacked up at
sections of the Punggye-ri test site in the north of the country, as
well as mine carts possibly being transported through the site’s
tunnels.
If such activity is taking place, it appears North Korea could be
preparing its nuclear site for future tests, should the country’s
chairman Kim Jong-un decide further tests are necessary.
However the commercial satellite photographs are of insufficient
resolution to accurately determine the true purpose of the activity at
present, according to reports.
The intelligence was obtained by the independent monitoring project 38 North, which is run by Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies in Baltimore, Maryland.
The watchdog’s report added: “It is likely that they [the workers at
the site] are either engaged in spring maintenance or traveling to and
from the test facility.”
Several separate groups of people and vehicles have been spotted on
the south road leading into the facility, and the images show certain
buildings may have been camouflaged.
Four nuclear tests have so far taken place at the Punggye-ri site - in 2006, 2009, 2013 and most recently in January this year.
The testing of a hydrogen bomb at the start of 2016 prompted
international outcry, with Nato saying the test “undermined regional and
international security, in clear breach of UN Security Council
resolutions”.
On Monday, North Korea said it will end a diplomatic communication
channel with the United States and hinted at harsher punishment for
Americans detained in the country in retaliation for US sanctions
targeting leader Kim Jong Un.
Heavy sanctions have previously been placed on North Korea due to its
pursuit of a nuclear weapons programme, but this is the first time the
country’s leader has actively faced punishment.
Last month, the International Atomic Energy agency said satellite
imagery showed North Korea may have resumed work at a polonium plant in
Yongbyon.
At least a 20 people have been killed and dozens more
injured after two passenger trains collided in the Puglia region of
Italy, firefighters have said.
The two trains were travelling on a single-track line between the
coastal towns of Bari and Barletta when they crashed into each other
around 11.30 am local time.
Emergency services are at the scene near the town of Andria and are trying to free passengers from the wrecked carriages.
An image of the crash showed the carriages had been badly damaged and
forced off the rails at sharp angles, with debris strewn across either
side of the tracks.

"We are working with dozens of rescue teams to open up the carriages," said Luca Cari, a fire service spokesman.
"The rescue is complicated because this happened in the middle of the countryside," he added.
A small child was rescued from the wreckage and taken to hospital in a helicopter.
"Some of the cars are completely crumpled and the rescuers are
extracting people from the metal, many of them injured," Riccardo
Zingaro, the chief of the local police in Andria, told ANSA at the
scene.
National police and carabinieri could not immediately provide details about the extent of the crash.
Massimo Mazzili, the local mayor for the town of Corato, posted several photos of the crash on his Facebook page He said: "It is a disaster, as if a plane crashed.
"The emergency workers and civil protection staff are there, unfortunately there are victims."
Italy's prime minister Matteo Renzi said the crash "is a moment of tears", and pledged not to stop until a cause is determined.
He said Granziano Del Rio, Italy's minister for infrastructure and
transport, is heading to the crash site with the head of civil
protection.
Mr Renzi interrupted a trip to Milan to return to Rome following the accident.

Graziano Pellè has pushed Wayne Rooney
out of the top ten of best paid footballers after his £13m switch to
Chinese club Shandong saw his weekly wage skyrocket to £260,000-a-week.
The 30-year-old former Southampton striker was expected to link up
with new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte after working under the former
Juventus boss with Italy this summer, but a lucrative switch to Asia proved too tempting to turn down.
Pellè is just the latest European star to move to China in recent
times after Alex Teixeira (£42m), Jackson Martínez (£35m) and Ramires
(£23m) all had their heads turns by the eye watering money on offer in
the world’s fasted-growing league.
Pelle swaps Southampton for Chinese Super League side Shandong Lunengtion
Managers, too, have been swayed. Sven-Göran Eriksson, Luiz Felipe
Scolari and Felix Magath, all of whom have managed in the Premier
League, currently coach Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shandong respectively.
But the emergence of China on the world stage is also making its mark
on the financial monopoly previously enjoyed by clubs from England,
Spain and Germany.
While the “big three” leagues continue to exert their influence over
the game, Pellè’s switch to Shandong has resulted in tremors being felt
in boardrooms across the globe.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Real Madrid and Portugal forward, remains the
highest paid footballer in the world, earning in the region of
£18m-a-year, while Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, unsurprisingly, comes in
second at £17m.
Barcelona, Spain – Barcelona have defended their campaign on social media in support of Lionel Messi after the Argentine superstar’s 21-month prison sentence for tax fraud.
“We are involved in a controversy in which there is the feeling that FC Barcelona has committed a tax crime whereas that is not the case,” said club spokesman Josep Vives on Monday.
The Spanish giants were only “defending someone who has been and is still being treated unjustly,” he added. Last Friday Barcelona took to social media following Messi and his father’s conviction for avoiding paying taxes on 4.16 million euros of the player’s income earned from his image rights
from 2007-09. “Using the hashtag We Are All LeoMessi while posting a photo or message with both hands open, the campaign is encouraging all Barça fans to express their sympathy for the greatest footballer in the world by voicing their unconditional support on social networks,” a statement on the club’s website explained.“By making it clear that We Are All Messi, we want Leo to know that he is not alone. All members, supporters clubs, fans, athletes, media and everyone else are invited to
participate.” The statement was accompanied by a message of support on Twitter from club president Josep Maria Bartomeu: “Leo, those who attack you are attacking Barça and its history. We’ll defend you to the end. Together forever!” The prison sentences handed out to Messi and his father are likely to be suspended as is normal in Spain for first offences for non-violent crimes carrying a sentence of less than two years. The four-day trial also fined the 29- year-old five-timeworld player of the year 2.09 million euros while his father was fined 1.6 million euros.
The pair have vowed to clear their names and are appealing the guilty verdicts in Spain’s Supreme Court.
